This week was crazy, had a lot of fun!
Monday after our pday shenanigans we went out with Brooks (he's preparing for a mission). We stopped by a bunch of people, and one lady asked us for a free mattress and then proceeded to bash us for half an hour, and then as we were leaving reminded us that we should get her a mattress haha
She was super rude and condescending we were ready to never return...
Tuesday we had District council which was great, we did some fun get to know you games and also did Relatives Around Me which was fun! Afterwards I went on exchanges with Elder Frenzel in Plano 10 while the others went with Elder Hansen in Plano 6. We had a great companionship study focused on Alma 8. I love exchanges because it allows me time to get to know the other missionaries and see how they think.
In the evening we went out with Edward and taught some people and had a good time stopping by people too. As we went about our night it got colder and colder until it was not warm anymore.
On Wednesday we exchanged back and went out with Brother Howieson and got a call from the lady from Monday. She asked us to come help her move a mattress cause she got a new one. We decided to help and see what was in store for us haha
After moving the mattress for her she proceeded to tell Brother Howieson all the same things she told us the other night, and more! So we were there for 45 minutes. Luckily Brother Howieson was the perfect person to bring cause he just said "I bear solemn testimony" over and over about each topic she brought up. Her heart definitely softened a little bit, but we will never be going back.
We also taught a lady named Vernita, and then taught the Warburtons.
Thursday was so fun, in the morning we went and taught Peggy and that was a blast as usual! She told us of her plans to love in the temple forever and that they won't be able to kick her out because she will be incognito in all white hahaha
She also said I will be a politician and Elder Sartain will be a Bishop ;)
After that we went to Minnie's and made an excellent bread-tossing assembly line.
In the afternoon we taught an inactive member and did weekly planning, and then went out with Brother Allred in the evening. We had a member lesson, and some stopbys, and then he took us to his fancy law firm to do a phone lesson with Tyler. As we were talking he walked out and returned 20 minutes later with big bags of Barbeque from the restaurant next door! So we feasted after our lesson.
Friday we went and broke some more wood for Lorna. Got to use a sledgehammer! We ate at a pizza place for lunch and then went out with Sister Sparks for some lessons in the afternoon! We taught Miss Dodd the whole Restoration and also doorbell ditched someone with some gifts.
In the evening someone from Elder Sartains home ward who had been conspiring with me surprised him and took us to Liberty Burger for dinner!! It was amazing as usual, and after that we went out with Brooks again. And he must be bad luck because we proceeded to get in a 2 hour (polite) bash at Starbucks haha--we kept trying to leave but they kept asking polite questions and before we knew it Starbucks was closing. They were some of the biggest wolves in sheep's clothing I've ever met in my life haha--and contrary to what they think it actually strengthened our Testimonies and they have been the topic of conversation about how wrong they are for many days. :))
On Saturday we taught Allan in the morning and then went and attempted to get our bikes fixed. They were shifting when they weren't supposed to so we got them realigned.
We also went to the ward Christmas party which was fun! It was catered by some Mexican place. The only problem is they had this vat of green sauce which looked like a mild avocado sauce so everyone at the party doused everything in it. Turns out it's basically just liquid fire haha, so that was the talk of the night.
Sunday was cool, we had Aaron, Eleanor, and Peggy come to church! Aaron felt really welcome, he met some fellow barbers! We also went out and taught a few people with President Andrus and then watched the First Presidency Devotional with Peggy and the Bush's!
